Unusual Names For Baby Girls

Names for baby girls come in different styles and sizes and no matter what you're looking for I can help.

Are you looking for a name that is a bit more traditional? Then you may try Elizabeth. This name is Hebrew and means "my god is a vow." Or a variation of it Eliza, or Elizah both meaning the same thing. I think Sarah and Mary are two of the most traditional names, Sarah meaning princess in Hebrew and Mary meaning "bitter" in Hebrew.

If you are looking for something a little more unique then you can go with just about anything. You could use numbers and letters, which some parents are starting to do, but if you don't want that unique then try Kaitlyn from Gaelic meaning "pure." Adelaide from Germany meaning "noble" is very unique for most places.

Maybe names for baby girls are more important to have a strong or deep meaning. Like Aalish from France meaning "of noble kind." Or Netri meaning "great leader." Esosa means "a blessing of god" or Narue "turning into a blessing."

Maybe you want something that is American like DeeDee or Dixie. Maybe French like Adalina or Jocelyn. Or even Welsh names for baby girls like Adwen, Dylana, and Trista.

Or maybe you want to name your child after someone special like Rosa, for Rosa Parks who refused to give her seat. Joan after the great Joan of Arc. Hanna after Hannah Adams the first American woman professional writer. Antoinette after Antoinette Brown the first female minister in America.

There are so many wonderful names for baby girls to choose from. For instance, Abagail which means "father in rejoicing" and Aspen which is based off the aspen tree which is the first tree to sprout after forest fires. Maybe Heidi suites you which means "noble one." Or for you Dave Ramsey fans Tabatha meaning "gazelle."
